During the program, Energy Specialists are contacting small- and medium-sized businesses in participating communities with the offer of a free energy assessment. The assessment helps the business owner or manager identify energy-saving opportunities. Energy Specialists also provide information about the type of energy-efficient equipment that would be of benefit. Qualifying PG&E customers may be eligible for the installation of several energy-efficient measures free of charge.

• Benchmarking: Measure and track energy performance to identify best opportunities for making energy efficiency retrofits.

• Demand response opportunities: Reduce energy use during times of peak demand and, in many cases, receive a financial incentive for participating.
